Jamorama Acoustic Guitar is a practical course. Ben hasn’t loaded it down with a lot of unnecessary theory. While you will come away from the course with skills like being able to ready guitar TAB, you won’t spend time learning theory that has little or no application.

Are You Practicing?

Our world has become so incredibly fast paced that we seem to have joined in and become the same way with even the things that we enjoy. Learning to play the violin or guitar or any instrument, for that matter, is a process that requires our patience. Sure, there are ways to speed that process up, but for all intents and purposes, it’s not an overnight perfection.

First of all, practice, practice, practice. The early days of learning your instrument will be slow. Take your time to really learn the basics of handling your instrument, tuning, reading notes and practicing your fingering patterns. Your steady progress will bring you tremendous results in a short period of time.

Let’s get started! There are many ways we can learn to play the violin/fiddle or any other instrument. Some of us will find that taking lessons from a local musician works best for our needs. We could also get together with a group of like minded folk and learn together. What I’ve found to be a huge detriment is the time it takes to find a group or a teacher, make the time to travel to a location (aren’t our days busy enough?) and then to pay for EACH lesson.
